As is the case with travel to any international destination, you need to do a bit of research about electronics and electricity before traveling to Russia. Ultimately, you’ll need to bring a charger adaptor as different countries have different kinds of plugs and voltage. Be especially careful to check voltage, as some electronics may be damaged if power isn’t converted accurately. Here are some useful details about using electronics in Russia:

  • Voltage 220-240 Volts (compared to 110-120 Volts in North America)
  • Socket Type: Europlug, Schuko
  • Hair dryers, curling irons, laptops and other electronics will require a plug adapter and voltage converter to function properly.
