This made Central Asia a vibrant region with world-known scholars, master-craftsmen, and a diverse population. The Silk Road passed through remote and vivid landscapes of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan's vast deserts, Tajikistan's towering the Pamir Mountains, and Kyrgyzstan's magic lakes.
