Welcome to Lithuania! Upon arrival in Vilnius, you will be met by our driver and transfered to the hotel. Free day to rest or explore Vilnius on your own.

Vilnius is renowned for its impressive array of over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The morning begins with a walking tour of the Old Town, featuring highlights such as Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, the Old University, and the Gates of Dawn.
After the Old Town Tour, enjoy a traditional Lithuanian cuisine lunch at the local restaurant "Berneliu Uzeiga". The interior is decorated with works of art from various eras: knights' armor and weapons, paintings, tapestries, carpets, sculptures, ceramics, etc. The main focus is traditional Lithuanian cuisine, supplemented with modern flavors and exceptional attention to food quality and service, served with respect to the history of Lithuania and our guests!
In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, known for its stunning Trakai Castle. This medieval fortress is beautifully situated on an island in Lake Galve. An excursion to Trakai offers a glimpse into the region's rich history. Trakai is not only famous for its picturesque castle but also for its unique cultural heritage, particularly the Karaite community. The Karaites, a Turkic-speaking ethnic group, have a long history in Trakai, dating back to the 14th century when they were brought to Lithuania by Grand Duke Vytautas. This community has maintained its distinct traditions, language, and religion over the centuries.

Today we drive from Vilnius to Riga with a few interesting stops enroute.
The Hill of Crosses has about 100,000 crosses and is an historical architectural monument, it is a unique composition of folk art. It is said that first crosses were erected here by the next-of-kin of the rebels that fell in the 1831 rebellion. The Hill of crosses attracts people with it's peace, spirituality, authenticity and sacred nature and was visited by Pope John Paul II.
Afterwards we will head to Rundale Palace, one of the two major baroque palaces built for the Dukes of Courland in what is now Latvia. In 1735 Duke of Courland Ernst Johann von Biron bought land in Rundale with an old medieval castle in the territory of a planned summer residence. The old castle was demolished and construction after the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli started in 1736.

Located in the heart of Riga, this bustling market is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Latvian culture and cuisine.

Gauja National Park is Latvia's largest and oldest. It is known for its stunning nature, cultural heritage sites, and outdoor recreational opportunities. The park is located in the Vidzeme region of Latvia, northeast of the capital city, Riga. It covers an area of about 917 square kilometers. The town of Sigulda is often considered the gateway to Gauja National Park.
Gauja National Park is characterized by its diverse nature, including dense forests, picturesque river valleys, sandstone cliffs, and scenic meadows. The Gauja River runs through the park and is Latvia's most prominent and longest river. The park is home to diverse flora and fauna, including rare plant species and animals such as beavers, deer, and various bird species. Nature enthusiasts will find plenty to observe and appreciate throughout the park.
Within the park, you will visit several historical and cultural landmarks, including medieval castles such as Turaida Castle and Sigulda Castle. The castles offer insights into Latvia's history and provide panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

You will be picked up from your hotel by our English speaking driver for a half-day transfer to Tallinn. Enroute, you will make a short stop in Parnu, a seaside resort city (and Estonia's summer capital) with a small harbor in south-western Estonia. The city is known for its spas, shallow white sandy beach and beautiful parks. It is also a popular place for conferences, theatre performances and concerts
