This self-drive tour was great - gave us a chance to see the ever changing landscapes of Iceland, geysers, glaciers, waterfalls and experience such adventures as whale watching. The hotels we stayed off were of a good standard. Food in Iceland is expensive but very good and we tried a variety of different foods. All in all, a very successful trip to be remembered for a long time. We booked a self-drive tour of Iceland with Nordic Saga Tours as we knew this company from our previous tours and trusted it. This time we decided to try a self-drive tour as when travelling we like the freedom to explore what we want and at the pace we want. We got a car, a GPS, SIM card and itinerary on a tablet. We liked the accommodation pre-booked for us. The hotels were typical European hotels, small rooms but with excellent service and good food served at the restaurants. Iceland is very beautiful and it was great fun discovering new landscapes, meeting locals and enjoying ourselves. We loved our trip and can recommend it to everyone.
