Shari and I have spent 2weeks telling our family and friends about our amazing tour! Once again, I wanted to tell you what an incredible experience it was to share this journey with my daughter. There wasn’t anything that we would have changed. I found the Litvak Museum and the bagel restaurant a relaxing way to spend our last day in Vilnius. Audra even took her own personal time to go to Uzventis to make sure that it was planned perfectly. We had an opportunity to discuss her journey to becoming so interested in Judaism. All of tour guides gave us well rounded information on both the Jewish and cultural heritage of the regions. Finally, the hotels were beautiful and so well situated in the old cities.

What a fantastic trip. We enjoyed it immensely and you are to be congratulated on your organisation. The guides were very knowledgable, professional and went out of their way to try and keep everyone happy. Bava was outstanding but both Veronica and Guyla weren't far behind. The food was great as were the hotels.

We had a varied group and we found a couple had some unrealistic expectations and needed to ask themselves why they were there. Their issues were generally outside the control of your company so were unsolvable; e.g.

Hi Julia, I loved the tour through the 5 Stan’s, although it was even more full on than I expected. Veronika, Gulya and Bava were excellent guides and all the hotels were good. I gather my room in Almaty had been recently refurbished as I liked the light, airy feel and of course the hotel in Ashgabat was amazing. I’m so pleased I was able to visit Turkmenistan, it was the highlight for me, but the border crossing was awful and if there is any way too avoid it, I know future travelers would have a nicer experience. Having 12 in the group meant we had the advantage of a large comfortable coach, but meal times were tedious as ordering took far too long, we also have 1 person with us that has a foot problem and is very slow walking. Jena, Joan and Lachlan who we’ve just met in Baku, all mentioned lots of free time on their 5 Stan’s tours, but we had none - no doubt due to the above factors. Having a 3 course lunch and dinner is far too much as the servings are large, which also means more time ordering and eating rather than free time or seeing other things. - d -

The organization of the tour was impeccable. The timing for pick-ups and meeting up with guides was spot on. All four of our guides were passionate about their cities and countries and their commentaries extremely knowledgeable and moving. The hotels in Warsaw, Krakow and Budapest were great, spacious rooms, helpful and concerned staff and centrally located. All in all the trip far exceeded our expectations. We loved the 5 Stans Tour that East West Tours (Dora Rozet) arranged for our group of 7. Traveling between 5 countries involved a lot of logistics and everything went smoothly: all flights, train rides and cars. The most important part is that the company arranged all visas to 5 countries and it was included in the price. The guides were local knowledgeable people, very friendly. The drivers did not speak English but we had a tour escort throughout the tour who spoke excellent English and was a great help. The history, architecture and culture of that region is amazing. We would have never done it without East West Tours.
