Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. Enjoy a 3-hour guided sightseeing tour of Tallinn, combining the highlights of the city’s beautifully preserved medieval Old Town with its most scenic and historic landmarks. Stroll through charming cobblestone streets, visit Town Hall Square, explore Toompea Hill with its impressive churches and panoramic viewpoints, and admire the medieval city walls and picturesque architecture. This day offers an optional day excursion to Lahemaa National Park, where we visit Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family, and Sagadi Manor. The tour ends with a visit to the charming 13th century Vihula Manor and the Vodka Museum.

Spend a full day exploring Lahemaa National Park, one of Estonia’s most beautiful natural areas, combining spectacular scenery, historic manor estates, traditional coastal villages, and a fascinating taste of Estonian culture.

Begin with a visit to Jägala Waterfall, followed by a scenic walk through the Viru Bog, where forests, wetlands, and tranquil bog pools showcase Estonia’s unspoiled natural beauty. Continue to the Baltic coast and the charming Altja fishing village, known for its traditional wooden houses and maritime heritage.

Visit Palmse Manor, one of Lahemaa’s finest historic estates, with its elegant manor house, landscaped park, and gardens. The excursion also includes a visit to the Estonian Vodka Museum, located at Vodka Museum at Mooste Manor, where travelers can learn about Estonia’s vodka-making traditions, the history of distilling, and the important role vodka once played in rural Estonian life. A tasting can be included, subject to availability.

Return to Tallinn in the late afternoon after a memorable day combining nature, history, local traditions, and Estonian culture.

Continue to Tartu, Estonia’s historic university town and an important center of the country’s cultural and national identity. En route, stop at Põltsamaa Castle, one of Estonia’s most notable medieval castle complexes, beautifully situated along the Põltsamaa River. Explore its fascinating history before continuing to Tartu.

Upon arrival, discover Tartu’s charming Old Town and visit the renowned University of Tartu, founded in 1632. Stroll through the lively university district, admire the historic architecture, and experience the youthful atmosphere of Estonia’s intellectual and cultural capital.

epart Tartu and travel south into Latvia, with our first stop in the charming town of Alūksne, known for its scenic lakeside setting and historic heritage. Continue to Stāmeriena, often described as a pearl of European Romanticism and closely associated with the Italian writer Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

Our journey continues to Cesvaine, where we visit a small private brewery and have the opportunity to taste its locally produced beer. In the afternoon, arrive at the picturesque Grāši Manor, an elegant Classicist estate surrounded by beautiful countryside. This evening, enjoy a special dinner at the manor, completing a memorable day in the heart of Latvia.

Today we explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of Latvia’s Latgale region. Our journey begins in Preiļi with a visit to a traditional ceramics workshop, followed by a tour of the elegant Preiļi Castle. 

Continue to Aglona, one of Latvia’s most important pilgrimage destinations, famous for its spiritual significance and magnificent basilica. We then visit the historic Slutišķi Old Believers Village, where we learn about the unique traditions, customs, and way of life of the Old Believers community.

In the evening, arrive in Svente for an overnight stay and dinner at the charming Hotel Svente Manor****.

The day begins with a visit to Daugavpils, Latvia’s second-largest city, where we explore the impressive Daugavpils Fortress and the renowned Mark Rothko Art Centre, dedicated to the internationally celebrated artist who was born in the city.

We then cross into Lithuania and around midday arrive at Aukštaitija National Park, a beautiful landscape of pristine lakes, winding streams, forests, and rolling hills. Enjoy a gentle walk through the park and take in its peaceful natural surroundings. We also visit the charming lakeside village of Palūšė, known for its traditional wooden church.

Late in the afternoon, continue to Vilnius, Lithuania’s elegant capital and a UNESCO World Heritage city.

Today we explore Vilnius, the elegant capital of Lithuania, renowned for its beautifully preserved medieval Old Town, historic architecture, and more than 40 churches. Our morning walking tour introduces the city’s highlights, including Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, the magnificent St. Anne’s Church, the historic Old University, and the Gates of Dawn.

In the afternoon, enjoy an optional visit to the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. Discover the history of the Grand Duchy and explore the palace’s impressive collections, including exhibits dedicated to the castle’s fortifications, historic interiors, and medieval armaments.

The morning offers optional visit to the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights. The former office of the KGB Deputy Chief of Internal Prison on the museum’s first floor includes an exhibition of documents, photographs, maps and other items depicting the Sovietisation of the region in 1940-1941.

The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve.

In the evening an optional traditional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant Senoji Trobele is on our program.

Depart Vilnius and travel west toward the Baltic coast. En route, stop in Kaunas, the former capital of Lithuania, for a short walking tour through its charming Old Town and to admire the elegant white Baroque Town Hall.

Continue to Klaipėda, Lithuania’s historic port city, where we enjoy a brief stroll through the Old Town before boarding the ferry to the Curonian Spit. Cross the lagoon and continue to the picturesque resort town of Nida, nestled among the dunes and forests of this unique UNESCO-listed landscape.

Check in at Hotel Nerija****. This evening, enjoy an optional authentic fisherman’s dinner at the local restaurant “Tik Pas Joną,” offering a taste of traditional coastal Lithuanian cuisine.

The morning is reserved for a half-day optional tour of the Curonian Spit, a thin, 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. Tour takes us to the spectacular Parnidis Dune and Naglis Dune, the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante and Thomas Mann’s summerhouse. In early afternoon we head towards Liepaja where we arrive in early afternoon and check in at Hotel Art Roma****.

The evening offers an optional casual dinner at a beach café Red Sun Buffet, right on the wide sandy beach.

Liepaja takes its name from the numerous linden trees in the city. We start the day with a short stroll in the Old Town with the Trinity Church and we visit Jurmala Park and the former Naval Port area with its famous Orthodox Cathedral.

We now continue through Southern Latvia to the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland.

Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through Latvia to reach Riga at late afternoon. Check in at Hotel Radisson Blu Elizabete**** or similar.

Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The walking tour of the morning takes to Art Nouveaux district and Old Town including Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument.

The afternoon is reserved for an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches.

The evening offers an optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.
