Hi Alex, Just wanted to let you know we had a great trip - I would do it again in a heartbeat. We loved our guides, Natasha and Victoria were fantastic. They were extremely knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Both asked about our interests and were flexible in how we spent our time. All of our pick ups were on time with no issues. The Petr 1 hotel in Moscow was perfect - great location, all the amenities of a good business class hotel, even a Friday night Russian wedding party! The staff was very helpful, and allowed us to delay check out until 9pm for a small additional fee. That meant that we were able to relax before our train ride to St Petersburg. Something I would strongly suggest that anyone on this itinerary consider. The train was certainly a Russian experience and one I am very glad we were able to take. Only minor glitch was that our tickets didn't include breakfast, which upset our train attendant, but didn't bother us in the least. She brought us tea in those great Russian filigreed glasses, I think because she felt badly that we didn't get a meal! The Park Inn Nevsky is a good location right by the train station. It made it easy to walk to wherever we needed to go. A standard Scandinavian style hotel it was small, clean and neat. Somehow the lobby coffee bar, beverage cooler and ATM were always closed! We quickly learned to ask in the bar for anything we needed, from water and coffee, to directions, getting money changed down and dining recommendations. All in all a most successful adventure.
