Review about Sacred Caucasus by Suzanne

Ausra...nice to hear from you. We just got back last Thursday as we went on to Greece with friends. Everyone loved Georgia and felt we had saved the best for the last. You picked a good hotel, Kakha was FABULOUS and the country is beautiful, the wine incredible and the food over the top. We had some pretty long days and if I were to do it again I would make a few changes. Some of the highlights were the cheese tasting in Tbilisi, the visit to the farm where we had wine lunch/dinner, the cave monastery , actually I could go on and on. Some of the classes were so much fun. I think the only day that I felt really needed to be shortened was the day we went to the winery. It was about a 3 plus hour drive to the winery to visit, taste, and then go to lunch/dinner and then the long ride home. When I mentioned it to the ground crew in Tbilisi they said I had requested that winery because it was full production. If I had been given a choice to drive 1.5 hours and just do a tasting and visit a winery vs the long day just to see bottling I would have said no. But that is minor, just a suggestion for next time. Maybe a little more free time in the city. Also the timing of lunch/dinner was off sometimes for Americans. Kakha realized that and made some stops to pick up snacks. He is a GEM.
