Dora,The entire tour was excellent. The Budapest Hotel was the better of the two hotels (vs. Asteria, of course 4 star vs. 3) although the staff was nicer in the Asteria. Red Square and the Bolshoi theater (under renovation) are only a few blocks from the Budapest. I'm so glad we opted for the closer hotel as we went to Red Square or GUM once or twice daily. I don't recall what the Moscow 3 star hotel you offered was but central location at the Budapest was extremely valuable and I'm glad we chose that one.

Hi Dora,This email has been a long time coming, since my trip was back in May. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed my trip to Russia. I wanted other travellers who are plannig to travel on their own to know that even though I was travelling on my own, I felt safe and extremely well taken care of by the tour guides in both Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Meridien in Moscow was a great hotel and the perfect spot for seeing the military parade on Victory Day since the roads are closed and the parade goes right past the hotel into Red Square.

DoraYour tour guides are fabulous and the trip overall was excellent. One issue was that there needed to be some instruction or help in finding the bus to take from the local airport in Moscow over to the International terminal; we finally took a Taxi, but we were uncomfortable.
