Grand Tour of Russia
Dear Bobby and East West Tours, I wanted to send a message and let you know my Russian tour was great and without your services, I would have been very lost! I’m so thankful the English speaking tour guides were so accommodating and friendly. They even had a wonderful sense of humor which I really appreciated. I learned so much about Russia and it’s true that pictures just don’t do those buildings justice. Seeing them up close was amazing. There is so much history there and standing in places like the Red Square was incredible. Definitely fond memories I’ll never forget.
Imperial Capitals Tour Review
Dear Bobby, Writing just to let you know that I'm back from my tour of Russia -- and I have to say it was eye-opening, informative and just plain wonderful! I have some feedback to share with you, all in the context of how to make an excellent tour even better. 1. Maria Ganina is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people I have ever met. Her knowledge of art and art history, as well as the history of Imperial Russia is simply amazing. She seems to have examined every painting and every item in the Hermitage and in every room of every palace. Her English is also very strong, so she can share information with us in great detail – in a way that is easy to understand and remember. She is a true Renaissance woman.
Grand Tour of Russia
Hi Dora Firstly apologies for not writing to you earlier – just recovering from jetlag... The above tour of Russia was wonderful and thank you so much for continuing to reassure me it would be so prior to my holiday. The guides, drivers, hotels and general organization were great. I especially have to mention Maria (Marsha) Ganina (St Petersburg) who was the best guide I have ever had on a tour – and as you know, I have travelled extensively. She was even able to find and return my umbrella to me after I left it in the left-luggage store at the Hermitage! Wonderful person and extraordinarily well-versed in the history of St P's and Russia in general. She became a friend to all of us in a professional manner.
Riga and Baltic Circle review
Dora, Wow! The tour of Riga was beautiful. We learned so much about the city's history on this tour. Seeing Tallinn and every city in between was equally as fun. We especially enjoyed the Hill of Crosses. Very unique. Our hotels were great, historic, and the service was phenomenal. Only had a small issue with language barriers but we figured it out. Loved our guides, too. They taught us a lot and were extremely friendly and helpful. Our tours were spaced out well and we didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed at all as the guides worked with us to accommodate our needs. We will be contacting you and East West Tours in the future for our Russian travel needs. Thank you again! Marilyn and Harold Glenn
Imperial Capitals
Bobby, We got back last night from our trip and I wanted to thank you for all your efforts on arranging our Russia tour and give you our feedback. It was wonderful!!! There was a slight change made to our itinerary, but we think it was for the best. We were originally scheduled to visit St. Isaac's Cathedral on the second day after going to the Hermitage, but it was instead made part of our City Tour on our first day. On our second day, we ended up being so overwhelmed by the four-hour tour of the Hermitage, it would have been too much to go to St. Isaac's Cathedral immediately afterwards, so we were quite happy with this change.
Grand Tour of Russia Trip Review
Hi, Dora! Please accept my apology for not having contacted you before now to thank you for the wonderful tour of Russia that my wife and I participated in last July. We had a wonderful group of travelers with us (there were nine of us in total), and we enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Our tour guides, Nadia in Moscow and Masha in St. Petersburg, were terrific. We enjoyed listening to their narrations, and being able to talk to them on a personal level about life in Russia. They were both extremely knowledgeable about the places we visited. Nadia even did research on her own to answer questions that she wasn't sure about.
