Poland Cities Tour

The tour organizatiion was flawlessly organized, with good hotels. The hotel in Krakow needs airconditioning though. We heard other guests complain as well – Juanita Britz -

The Polish Dream Tour was excellent - the itinerary included

I really enjoyed this Polish Dream Tour (May 31-June 16, 2019) for the inclusion of major cities (Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw & Krakow), as well as seeing the country from the north (Gdansk) to the south (Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains). The sites visited, and an absolutely first-class guide (Krzysztof Kisielnicki), gave a window into the complex history of Poland that I appreciated very much. I enjoyed the free time to explore on my own when our stay was 2-3 nights; our guide was a great source of suggestions. The bus tours in the cities were kept to a minimum – the walking tours with our guide and/or local guides were excellent and much preferred.

ST PETERLINE VISAFREE CRUISE PACKAGE

We went on this 6 night 7 day program starting and ending in Stockholm with a two night stay in St. Petersburg, Russia. Our guide in St. Petersburg was a friendly and lovely young woman who spoke very good English and told us many interesting things about all the sites we visited or saw. We were glad that we had chosen Commodore Class for the ferry since that gave us prioritized Disembarkation in each of the ports we visited while on the ferry. Included was the meal plan on the ferry which provided us with a large selection of food choices at their morning and evening buffets. The Akyan Hotel we stayed at in St. Petersburg was extremely nice with excellent service. – Mike -

The best tour of St Petersburg

Linda and I fully enjoyed our 3 day tour of St Petersburg. Having a local guide (Anna), provided a unique view of Russian life. She was the very best of guides, a wealth of information, and helped us to appreciate everything we saw. She went out of her way to provide some local colour (lunch at her favourite restaurant Katyusha ) and tips on buying souvenirs and cultural extras. Anna comes highly recommended. The only change I would request is that the schedule takes into account a light lunch around 12 or 1pm. Anna had to modify our schedule to provide this. Oh yes the boarding and off loading on the Princess Anastasia was terrible (took way too long and was disorganised). On the whole though a fantastic trip. – Doug Parlee -

Excellent Recommendation for East-West Tours "Splendors of Russia- MOSCOW & ST. PETERSBURG"

This was a vacation of a "lifetime" and I want to thank Susie Main, our East West/Nordic Saga tour representative and Ursala for making sure our passports were correct, so this trip could be possible. My girlfriend & I are in our 70's and had some apprehensions about leaving our husbands to go to a country, we knew so little about. We went two days early, so we had time to explore Moscow on our on. Our hotel was just across the river from the Kremlin, so we went to Red Square, St Basil Cathedral & the GUM shopping center the first evening. We were overwhelmed by the beauty especially at night, when all the lights were on. We walked the streets freely and never once felt uncomfortable or insecure.

Helsinki - St.Petersburg - Tallin - Stockholm Visa free by ferry

This trip was setup through East-West Tours and they did a great job. All the documentation and transfers went very smoothly.
We booked a deluxe cabin on the ferry (slightly larger cabin and "priority embarkation and disembarkation"). If you keep in mind that this is a ferry and not a cruise ship you will probably find the food, accommodation and level of service to be just fine.  An odd thing -  Twice for our priority disembarkation (both times with luggage) we gathered in a lounge on the 6th floor and had to carry our luggage  down stairs to the 4th floor, this would be very hard for anyone with physical limitations.
For St.Petersburg we requested a private guide and driver.

I wish to thank you for all your help in planning our trip from St. Petersburg to Moscow. All went very well. The train ride was uneventful. We did need some assistance from the concierge at our hotel in St. Petersburg in deciphering the signs in the railroad station. We had her write our the words "departure" and "arrival" in Russian, so we would know what track our train would be leaving.
