Golden Eagle "Winter Wonderland" tour – a trip of a lifetime .. Unforgettable After planning for around 6 months for this trip we were finally in Vlodivostok boarding the Golden Eagle luxury Trans-Siberian train for traveling to Moscow. The planning was long but all went very smoothly as East West Tours  travel company( agent Dora and her colleagues) did their best to offer what we exactly wanted and helped us to elaborate all the details. They worked very efficiently and fast. Thank you, guys! On a cold winter’s night we were greeted by a band playing on the platform to meet us. Our cabin had heated floor, private shower and all what was needed for a warm and comfortable journey.

Moscow – Vladivostok WINTER WONDERLAND by "GOLDEN EAGLE" Train Aa 15 day trip on the trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to Vladivostok was a fantastic way to get acquainted with real Russia and to have a glimpse of Mongolia. We were very happy we had taken the advice of our agent Dora ( from East West Tours) and spent a few extra days in Moscow. Our Moscow guide Olga was a germ. She met us as if we were her relatives. Her excellent English and professionalism made us feel at home.

Last year we took the Private luxury rail tour from Moscow to Vladivostok. It was a very impressive journey! After landing in Moscow we were taken care of from the airport to our 5 star hotel. We met our fellow travelers over a welcome dinner and made friends with a few of them. The tour of Moscow was very impressive . The guide was knowlegable but too much of history was a little boring. After the champagne reception in the VIP waiting room before we were led to our air conditioned cabins equipped with showers and WC. We had a gold cabin which includes a full size double bed and all our meals, drinks and tips . The trip was relaxing and we enjoyed all the sights during it.

We did this trip in September 2016. I was really impressed during all 15 days of the trip. The trains were good quality, very comfortable, the beds were a little too small, though. We found the food was very good in Russia. Good food on the train as well as the one bought locally from ladies selling it to the passengers. The organization of the entire trip was impeccable. At almost every city visited we were treated with concert of some kind, either folk or classical. We saw impressive Russian/Siberian architecture and simple peoples' life and all this was a thrilling experience. Thank you for the so well organized trip and I think I must do it again.

Hi, Here are my impressions on the Legendary Silk Road Train Journey. We flew to Ashgabat via Frankfurt. Upon arrival, we were met by an English speaking guide who was very knowledgeable and loaded us with lots of interesting information about Turkmenistan. Ashgabat was very nice and clean, the weather was fantastic, about 26 degrees C. On the train, there were 12 English speakers and we made friends with each other immediately. Our guide Timur spoke perfect English and was very friendly. He helped us in every possible matter. The train staff was Russian or Uzbek so Timur helped us a lot to comunicate with them. The service and the food in the restaurant car were good, very good, to be exact. Most of our train travel was by night.

Dear Bobby, Hope my email finds you well. Thank you for making all arrangements for my trip. I had a great time in St. Petersburg & Maria was a superb guide and took me everywhere and made sure I had a good time and saw as much as possible. I loved the hotel too. It was comfy and chic. I spent 1 hour 45 minutes in immigration when I arrived in St. Petersburg, guess because they don't have much tourists with SriLankan passport. However finally they let me go out. I was wondering if they would send me back to the ship. Am so glad I made this trip and found new perspective, and saw so many places. I did some shopping late evening too in the mall. St. Petersburg starts to grow on you. Thanks once again.
